5/17/09 Boys Track & Field Team wins State Championship
The Blue Jays sent seven athletes to the championship meet in nine events. The team scored points in all but one event to bring home the first place trophy. Two individual championships were earned in the 3000m run (Senior Abel Araya - 8:56.80) and the 400m dash (Senior Nick Richardson - 51.09).

- 4x100m Relay - 2nd Place (46.21) - Senior Anthony Lafontaine, Sophomores Shelby Grubb and Elliot Noonan and Freshman Andre Martin
- 1500m Run - 3rd Place (4:12.15) - Senior Abel Araya
- 100m Dash - 7th Place (11.86) - Sophomore Shelby Grubb
- 400m Dash - 1st Place (51.09 *School Record) - Senior Nick Richardson
- 200m Dash - 2nd Place (23.17) - Senior Nick Richardson and 7th Place (24.02) - Freshman Andre Martin
- 3000m Run - 1st Place (8:56.80 *NFHS Record) - Senior Abel Araya
- 4x400m Relay - 2nd Place (3:33.06 *School Record) - Seniors Abel Araya and Nick Richardson, Sophomores Elliot Noonan and Silas Lortz
- High Jump - 2nd Place (6'3" *School Record) - Sophomore Elliot Noonan
- Long Jump - 11th Place (18'3.25") - Sophomore Shelby Grubb
